Z2470 MASTER Communication Driver

 

Z2470 MASTER is a dimming controller developed by MJD Corporation. Z2470 MASTER uses ZigBee communication with wireless equipment.

 

1. Read settings

Device part of  <Figure 1> input Com Port(COM13), Baud Rate(115200), Parity Bit(0), Data Bit(8), Stop Bit(1) respectively, according to setting of controller.

 

Z2470 MASTER communication driver¡¯s read schedule 

Since the Z2470 MASTER driver is write-only, the read setting is READ, only one line is needed.

 

2. Writing settings

You can write the setting value by using write settings.

 

Digital Write

The elements required for digital write setting are the same as the analog write setting element and only the output value (0, 1).

 

Analog Write

Analog write setting parameters are as follows:

1)  PORT                    Port no. (0 ~ 255)

2)  STATION               Station number of the Z2470 MASTER .  (1 ~ 16)

3)  ADDRESS              LED Group ID. ( 0~255 )

   Since 0 is the total control, use 1 ~ 255 for each group control.

4)  Extra1                   Write Command DIM.

  DIM : Dimming Step Command          Write Value = 0 ~ 100 

5)  Extra2                   Don't care.

6)  Write Value            Dimming Step value. (0 ~ 100)

 

Write example 1) 

PORT : 0 , STATION : 1,  ADDRESS : 0001,  EXTRA1 : DIM,  EXTRA2 : , WRITE VALUE : 0

The setting parameter shown above is an example of  1 staion connected to port 0 Z2470 MASTER device LED group ID 1 Dimming Step Write Value can be written as 0.

 

Write example 2) 

PORT : 0 , STATION : 1,  ADDRESS : 0001,  EXTRA1 : DIM,  EXTRA2 : , WRITE VALUE : 100

The setting parameter shown above is an example of  1 staion connected to port 0 Z2470 MASTER device LED group ID 1 Dimming Step Write Value can be written as 100.

 

 
3. Connection of main power and communication cable

Connection of main power and communication cable are as follows.

Connection of main power

Connect 220 V AC to the power input as shown in <Figure 2>.

 

<Figure 3> shows an example of connecting the USB to TTL module to the HSR-1L-05A equipment for Zigbee communication with the Z2470 MASTER device.

Connection of USB to TTL module

Connect USB to TTL module to UART connector (GND, RX, TX, 5V) as shown in <Figure 3>.
